Serving Sandbach · minutes from home
Fifteen minutes from the cobbles to our clinic chair — down the A534 or a quick hop via M6 junction 17. Pharmacist-led microsuction at Crewe Pharmacy, with no GP referral and no waiting list.
£40 one ear, £60 both — fixed and published before you book. The examination of both ears is included, and if we find nothing to remove, we operate an honest no-wax policy: we tell you, rather than treat you. See the full pricing page.
We use water-free microsuction — wax lifted out under magnified direct vision, no flushing, no mess. It suits hearing aid wearers, perforated eardrums and ears syringing has failed.
No GP referral, no triage queue. Sandbach patients are usually offered an appointment within the same week — call 01270 215837 and we'll find you a slot.
Sandbach folk are used to short drives for the bigger stuff — and this is one of the shorter ones. Most of our Sandbach patients take the A534 out of town through Haslington, which brings you into Crewe with the pharmacy easy to reach on Nantwich Road; if you live nearer the motorway side of town, dropping down from M6 junction 17 works just as well. Either way, plan for roughly a quarter of an hour.
What you're driving to matters more than the route. This isn't a room hired by a visiting operator: it's a permanent, GPhC-registered pharmacy premises at 139-141 Nantwich Road, where microsuction is delivered under the leadership of our pharmacist team, six days a week — Monday to Friday 9am–6pm and Saturday 9am–5pm. If your ears block up on a Thursday, you don't have to wait for a clinic day to come around.
Appointments take about twenty minutes. We start by examining both ears — always both, it's included — then remove any wax with fine, low-pressure suction while watching the canal under magnification. Nothing wet goes near your ear, which is exactly why this method has replaced syringing in modern guidance. Most people walk out hearing crisply again and mildly startled by how loud the world is.
A tip before you set off: if you can, soften the wax for two or three days beforehand with olive oil drops — our preparation guide covers it in a minute's reading. And if you'd rather ask a question than book blind, get in touch; we'd sooner talk it through than have you make the trip unnecessarily.
If you've been squinting at your phone in a Sandbach kitchen, hunting for a way to unblock your ears, here's the practical answer: clear ears are about fifteen minutes from your door, and no hospital is involved. Every appointment begins with an examination of both ears (included, never an extra), and any wax we find is lifted out with gentle, water-free suction. Pricing stays flat at £40 for one ear or £60 for both. We run Monday to Saturday and appointments are usually available within the same week, so a Tuesday blockage rarely has to wait long. The quickest route in is to book online — the diary is live, you pick a real slot, and it's confirmed instantly. Prefer a voice? Call 01270 215837 and we'll sort it that way instead.
